Here is a step by step guide to installing Vfone (Huawei) on Windows Vista.
1. Plug in the data cable.
2. Following box will appear.
3.Click on Locate and install Driver Software.
4. Click Do not search online.
5.Click Browse and locate the driver folder on ptcl wireless cd. They are in folder 
riverFiles\winXP
Click Next.
6. Click on install this driver software anyway.
7. Click close.
Following box will appear.
8. Click Don’t search online.
9. Click Browse my computer for driver software and give location of driver as given previously.
10. Click Install this driver software anyway.
11. Click Close.
12. Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Phone and Modem Options.
Click on Modems Tab.
13. Click Add.
14. Check Don’t detect my modem and click next.
15. Click Have Disk..
16. Browse to “HuaWeiMdm.inf” file on the drivers cd.
17. Click OK.
18. Click Next.
19. Select port.
20.Click Finish.
21. Now the modem to be used.
Make new connection and enjoy surfing the net.

Thanks a lot. I thought my PTCL Huawei won’t work with vista.
PTCL Wireless is very slow now a days. Can’t even open Yahoo Mail. Thanks anyway! j:)

I have 02 nos zte v wireless phone wp 560 bd.
I can connect net on these set.
Because its usb modem driver not installing on my dell laptop inspiron 1440 (window 7)
Now please guide me that how and from, I can get/download the driver for subject
Zte wp 560 bd usb modem driver for window7.

I have Acer emachine E525. I had installed Windows XP and Windows 7 both on my laptop. XP because I was using VPTCL phone for internet. Then some problem occurred and I formatted the laptop and installed only windows 7. Before this installation wifi was installed in my laptop, now I have tried my best but I failed. One thing more which I did was that I replaced 1+1 GB RAM already placed in the laptop with 4+4 GB RAM. For this decision I was misguided by the Computer Mechanic in the shop. This laptop can only use 3 GB RAM. With this 4+4 GB RAM Window 7 could not be installed. When one card of 4 GB RAM was removed, installation of window 7 started but now I can not install wifi. Your help is required.

I have installed wifi. But I have another problem of Installing Huawei modem (ETS2558) Driver of PTCL V Wireless on windows 7 professional. Some body told me that it works on home edition of windows 7 and not on premimium or others. Help is required. I have tried to install as per guidance given above but it failed.

I installed on Windows Vista using this method. The same method should work for Windows 7.
Now I don’t have vptcl, so cannot try it myself on Windows 7.
I can only suggest that you retry after restarting the computer.
